Iribov
Iribov is a service company that offers a wide array of laboratory techniques to plant breeding and plant production companies. The company has 3 divisions, the main division is tissue culture for production and breeding support. The other two are Analytical Services and Greenhouse Services.
Iribov is an independent company, which works only for third parties and does not have its own breeding activities nor marketing activities and is therefore open to all clients, with no conflicts of interests. As a service company Iribov serves large and small companies, and to deliver a wide crop portfolio. Currently the company is operating in more than 300 crops.

Iribov uses tissue culture to produce half material for breeders, develops protocols for multiplication and produces (certified) starting material for large-scale production.In the analytical laboratory of Iribov flow cytometry and molecular methods are developed and executed for diverse applications. The company is also active in the supply of flow cytometers.The greenhouse has two main groups of service: the hardening of young plants and growing plants for special goals such as plants for breeding, certifications, bio assays, mother plants for tissue culture projects etc. Iribov has its own greenhouse facility for this purpose with a large array of greenhouse compartments and phytotrons.
Nowadays the total Iribov group employs ca 450 people.
Macedonia
SBW Romero Vitro is a tissue culture laboratory and presents large-scale production center of Iribov BV from Heerhugowaard, The Netherlands. It is located in Vinica, a small town at river Bregalnica valley in the eastern part of Macedonia.

Production started in August 2001, after training Macedonian employees at the home company in The Netherlands. The starting material for the production is received from the home company. All products are exported back to The Netherlands, from where the plants are distributed to our clients.
SBW Romero Vitro has a permanent growth as a company. Now the company has 25 large culture rooms and five transfer rooms. This provides the company with the capacity to produce more than twenty million plants annually. Whole capacity at this moment is executed with 240 employees who contribute to the permanent growth and development of the company. In 2020 an large extension of the lab is planned, after this the company will have ca 10.000 m2 of laboratory available.
Ghana
Iribov West Africa is a laboratory with two purposes, to act as a production unit for the global plant production of the Iribov group and secondly to produce tissue culture plants and grow them into a format ready for field planting for West-Africa.
For export now mainly ornamentals and fruit plants are produced. For the local market a wide variety of crops is now in production. Crops for the local market, Ginger, Yam, Sweet potato, Bamboo, Cashew, Mango, Passion Fruit, etc.
The company was founded in 2008 as production location for ornamentals for the European market. The company is located in Sogakope at the Volta River in Ghana.
