Manager Logistics

What are you going to do?

• You will be responsible for supervising and managing our logistics team.
• You coordinate all shipping activities, including transport planning and freight arrangement of our plants/vegetables/fruit and containers nationally and internationally.
• You are responsible for preparing the correct documents in accordance with the laws and regulations of import and export of plants.
• You negotiate prices with carriers.
• You ensure an efficient layout of the storage area, keeping track of stock, and organising the warehouse.
• You monitor that your department properly checks incoming and outgoing plants for quality and quantity.
• You initiate points of improvement regarding the logistic processes.

Who are you?

To successfully perform this role, you can identify with the following:

• You have a completed college education, preferably in Logistics Management and/or Supply Chain Management or Business Administration.
• You have some knowledge of or experience with phytosanitary regulations and trade agreements.
• You keep yourself up to date with internal and external requirements related to import and export, both in terms of customs formalities and phytosanitary (country) requirements and guidelines.
• You play a crucial role in optimising our logistics processes and maximising customer satisfaction.
• You have good leadership skills and are familiar with complex logistics, automation and digitisation of processes.
• You are able to cope with time pressure and deadlines and prioritise well.
• You work very accurately.
• Given the international nature of the position, you have good oral and written communication skills in English and Dutch.
