Researcher Cell Biology

What are you going to do?

As an experienced Cell Biology Researcher, you will be part of a passionate research team. In this role, you will work on innovative projects and contribute to the improvement of existing and development of new techniques for both existing and new crops. You are mainly concerned with techniques, regarding transformation, gene-editing, and protoplasts cultures. But will also explore new techniques and possibilities.

In this role, you will:

• Conduct research independently and take the lead in research projects.
• Analyzing and interpreting research questions and defining clear objectives.
• Conducting targeted literature research and collaborating with research institutes.
• Collaborating with colleagues from different disciplines.
• Developing, implementing and optimizing (new) techniques, methods and protocols.
• Analyzing research results and adjusting research plans accordingly.
• Accurately documenting observations, findings, and results.
• Preparing, presenting, and communicating research reports and conclusions.
• Visit and/or present at relevant (international) conferences

What do we expect from you?

• WO working and thinking level, with a background in Plant Sciences, Cell Biology, Biotechnology or a related discipline.
• At least 4-5 years of relevant experience as a researcher.
• Experience with techniques such as transformation and regeneration where thorough knowledge of techniques is a requirement for this position.
• You are accurate, proactive, persistent and enjoy working collaboratively in a team.
• You are available 38-40 hours a week.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
